Technology at BMES

BMES has a main computer lab equipped with 30 Macintosh aluminum large flat screen computers. The lab is used for scheduled computer lessons with 4th & 5th grade students. Computer lab #2 is used for intervention lessons and teacher signup.  It has 30 Macintosh aluminum large flat screen computers.

As a part of the Dawson County School System 1:1 initiative all elementary students were issued iPads at the start of the 2017-2018 School Year.  The iPads will provide a hands on learning environment for all our students while making learning fun!

Smart Boards, iPads, digital cameras, digital video projectors, videos, DVDs, and scanners are all technology tools used to teach and enhance curriculum at BMES.

Technology lessons are intertwined with grade level standards and common core curriculum. Lessons are based on these standards while teaching keyboarding, mouse skills, Digital Citizenship and a variety of Google Apps.  Everyone is encouraged to learn about technology "hands on" in a safe, fun, and educational environment.
