At Black’s Mill Elementary, our STEM program engages students in hands-on learning across the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Throughout the year, students explore a wide range of topics including computer use, basic programming, engineering principles, foundational building skills, and key science and math concepts. We also focus on internet safety, responsible AI use, and introductory robotics to prepare students for a digital future. Chess is a unique part of our STEM curriculum, helping students develop logical thinking and understand cause and effect—skills essential for both programming and engineering. As part of our commitment to responsible technology use, we proudly participate in the Digital Citizenship Program at Black’s Mill Elementary.
